Help the Unemployed Become Employed!

Now we all know that first impressions make or break an interview. Collect new or gently used business suits, hard hats, Tool Belts, Overalls, Shoes and other work related items for men and women. Distribute these items to unemployed individuals that can not afford to purchase them, because they are unemployed.

It would be a good idea to talk to your local Employment Securities Commission to help you find a way to properly distribute these items. Or adopt one family yourself.

There are thousands of operating vehicles just sitting around not being used. Is one or more of these just lonely vehicles sitting in your yard? Find a needy family that has no transportation to obtain gainful employment and donate it to them. There are organizations that take vehicles as donations also.

Carpooling is an eco-friendly alternative to joblessness. Do you know someone who wants to apply at a job that is on your way? Offer to let them ride with you. Maybe even work out an arrangement to share the gas expenses.

Are you a stay at home mom or dad that knows that lack of childcare is standing in the way of a parent gaining an income to provide for their family? Work out a reasonable and affordable solution to the problem. Baby-Sit for them while they work. Did you know that most states have a voucher program, available through the Department of Children and Families that will pay individuals to provide child care so parents can work?
