All I Want For Christmas 2011

For those who know me it is not secret that all I want for Christmas is to have my bills paid and be comfortable. I don't really ask for much in life. We rarely have money to purchase gifts for anyone, even the kids or grand kids. Mailing cards, during the holidays, is something I haven't done is so many years that I can not even recall the last one I sent. There is just no funding for such luxuries. I would also like to gather with my family and friends just like when I was a child. Togetherness and sharing the moment seem much more important to me.
I would like to see each homeless person have a place to stay where they can get a hot shower, a healthy hot meal and wear clean clothes. This is a growing problem in our society, but there seems to be no solution.
I want to see that no matter what religious belief, one holds true to, that everyone accepts that we all have the right to choose what we want to believe. That religious indifference’s was not an issue which prevents people from co-existing in a copacetic and harmonious manner.
I want for each child to have not only what they need, but to be healthy, happy and strong with positive influences that will aid them all to grow into independent, well rounded and productive adults.
I want each soldier to be released from their posts and ordered to go spend the holidays with their family and friends. Then when leave is over they are all told that all wars are over, they have done enough for our country, just stay home and get on with their lives.
I want to see fewer conflicts and corruptions in the way our governments operate. It would be nice, for a change, if we could all just get along. The power struggles have led to our countries to be torn to shreds, starting at the government level, creating a domino effect on the way citizens treat each other.
I want every able bodied person who can work, and is looking for work, to obtain gainful employment. Also that every business would thrive. There has to be a stopping point when your own local government officials have practically shut down an entire city; instead of using the laws already set into place to control difficult situations which arise.
I want for each and every elderly person to Not be concerned about needed medical supplies, food, shelter, clothing, personal hygiene items or healthcare. I see too many choosing medicine over food. When they take medicine without eating it causes a greater health risk than the one they started with.
I want each person who drinks alcohol, while they are away from home, to drink responsibly. Too many needless deaths and injuries occur when people drive after drinking alcohol. It is not that difficult to find a sober driver to drive you home and the cost of a taxi cab is surely less expensive than a DUI charge; or having to live with the fact someone was injured or killed because of one careless decision.
I want for all Governments to make marijuana legal. There are too many individuals that use marijuana in place of harmful drugs, cured of cancer, can get up out of bed and maintain an active lifestyle with less pain and many other wonderful benefits that this All Natural grown plant brings to the user.
I want everyone to be happy, healthy and get along. All I want for Christmas is not too much to ask. It is just a matter of making it happen. I wish you all a very happy holiday season and many bright blessings. Happy Yule, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas or what ever you say to each another at this time of year.
